An 11th grade student interested in one of these colleges who wishes to be nominated for one of these awards should let their school counselor know prior to March 1 of their junior year.
Alfred University Scholar Award
This award is presented to a student who is “Outside of Ordinary”, who inspires others through their academics and extracurricular activities. The recipient will receive $30,000 per year if enrolling at Alfred U. in Liberal Arts & Sciences, Business, Performing Arts, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering programs or $18,000 per year if enrolling in the School of Art & Design, Biomaterials Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, Glass Engineering Science or Materials Science and Engineering programs.
Clarkson University Leadership Award
This award recognizes a member of the junior class who demonstrates outstanding leadership qualities and is recognized by faculty and students as having been a positive contributor to the school and community. A $30,000 annual scholarship renewable for up to four years for qualified students who demonstrate leadership. Nominations are made by high school guidance counselors during the student's junior year of high school with final approval made by Clarkson University.
Clarkson University Achievement Award
This award recognizes a member of the junior class who demonstrates leadership and outstanding academic achievement A $30,000 annual scholarship renewable for up to four years for qualified students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement. Nominations are made by high school guidance counselors during the student's junior year of high school with final approval made by Clarkson University.
Elmira College Key
The Elmira Key is given based on academic merit and outstanding school and community leadership. Recipients of the Elmira Key receive a scholarship of $88,000 ($22,000 per year) upon enrolling at Elmira College.
Keuka College The George H. Ball Community Achievement Award
Named after the founder of Keuka College, the Ball Award rewards students based on qualities that embody the values of Keuka College, including: integrity, academic excellence, diversity, leadership, service, and social responsibility. The award grants qualifying students an annual merit scholarship of at least $22,000 per year of study at Keuka College.
Le Moyne Heights Award
Recognizes outstanding juniors who are “reaching for the Heights” both in the classroom and in their communities. Recipients receive a Certificate of Recognition and an annual $16,000 tuition scholarship to Le Moyne College.
Niagara University Purple Eagle Leadership Award
Recognizes outstanding juniors with academic excellence (minimum 90% GPA) who are leaders and are active in their school and community. Nominees should model the spirit of St. Vincent de Paul in action and character. The awardee receives a $25,000 scholarship and book award.
Rachel Carson Chatham University Healthy Planet Award and Scholarship
Chatham University offers the Rachel Carson Book Award for junior students who show leadership and passion for sustainability and the environment, social justice and policy studies, or an interest in writing and the sciences. This junior is receiving a copy of Carson’s Silent Spring book as well as a $2,500 merit scholarship to Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, should they choose to attend.
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Medal and Scholarship Program
The Rensselaer Medal is awarded to a member of the junior class who has exemplified outstanding academic achievement in the math and science fields. This merit scholarship has a value of $160,000 ($40,000 per year) and is guaranteed for four years for each Medalist who applies, is accepted and chooses to enroll at RPI.
Rochester Institute of Technology High School Awards Program
Six categories of awards recognizes a member of the junior class who has distinguished themselves academically, is an active and involved member of ACHS and the community, be pursuing a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or higher (4.0 scale), 94 or higher (100 point scale). Awards are valued at $116,000 ($29,000 per year) if the recipient is accepted and enrolls at RIT.

St. Bonaventure University Bonnies Scholarship
This scholarship awards students based on qualities that reflect the core values of St. Bonaventure University, including academic excellence, community, integrity, wisdom, leadership, social responsibility, compassion, and an appreciation for diversity. This scholarship carries an $100,000 scholarship ($25,000 annually) over 4 years of study at SBU.
St. Lawrence Book Award and True North Scholars Program
In recognition of the value that the St. Lawrence community places on service to others, the St. Lawrence Book Award honors high school juniors who have distinguished themselves in their communities by their significant commitment to community service. In addition to the book awarded, recipients are awarded a $4,000 scholarship ($1,000 per year) if they apply and are admitted to St. Lawrence University. The True North Scholarship Program is valued at $44,500 per year and seeks students who demonstrate strong character, meaningful engagement in their school, community, work, or family life, and a desire to be part of a close-knit residential community grounded in the liberal arts.
St. Michael’s Book Award for Academic Achievement and Social Conscience
This award recognizes students’ academic success and exemplary community service involvement. Their accomplishments embody St. Michael’s commitment to intellectual achievement, social justice and concern for others. This is a renewable, four-year scholarship ranging from $22 ,000 to full tuition for recipients who attend St. Michael’s College.
Student Sage College Award
The Russell Sage College is pleased to present this award in recognition of the characteristics of academic excellence and community involvement. The recipient embodies the Sage motto, “To Be, To Know, To Do” through her achievements and involvement.

As a recipient of this award, you are eligible to be considered for scholarship opportunities tied to your award. Merit scholarships range from $10,000 to $35,000 per year. The university offers four awards.
- George Eastman Young Leaders Award: This award recognizes a member of the junior class who demonstrates academic excellence, strong leadership at school and in the community, and is involved in many extracurricular activities.
- Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award: This is an honorary science award, given to a high school junior who has demonstrated exceptional skill and interest in science and math.
- Xerox Award for Innovation and Information Technology Award: This award is given to a high school junior who has demonstrated academic achievement and appreciation for innovation and information technology.
- Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony Award: This award is given to a junior who demonstrates commitment to understanding and addressing difficult social issues, shows leadership and dedication to community action, and academic excellence.
Wofford Scholars
Based on rank in class and PSAT scores, the Wofford Scholars program recognizes juniors who are also active in leadership and service roles in their school and community. Scholarships to Wofford are worth between $60,000 and $250,000 over a four-year period.
